I opted for camping in Shitou Forest Park.  It was the perfect location for hiking, getting away from polluted Yuanlin and being able to rest without disruption!  It's a 1 hour 45 minute scooter ride from Yuanlin.  Shitou is a massive forest reserve and has many beautiful things to see and do. I practiced it in class and after many hours of sweat and determination from the students they were ready to entertain us. The week was glorious, mostly beach, sun, reading and playing cards.  We also ate some lovely Thai curries and BBQ seafood, which went down very well.The flight over was uneventful arriving in Koh Samui.  They have a wonderful wooden and straw airport. My Parents</title><summary type='text'>Went to the Philippines for 9 days. Excellent weather, people are very friendly and beautiful. We stayed on Alona Beach, just off Bohol Island. Spent time travelling the local area, meeting the locals and sunbathing.Took some photos which I hope to add soon.My parents also came over for a week, we drove around Taiwan in the mist. Took time out in the East Coast, which was amazing.
