Aerial Photo of Taiwan

If anyone was wondering what Taiwan looks like from the air, then this link I found thanks to Stodgy White Guy, will make an impression.

I personally think this is the best shot of Taiwan I've seen. I live in the middle bit, not too far from the mountains, which run the centre of Taiwan.

Waterfall Spa

Tom and other teachers made a lovely mini spa from rocks near a waterfall. I think the arse belongs to Simon, but I could be wrong. Simon?

Group Shot

A nice little group pose from the 1st visit to the aboriginal campsite. From left to right; Pascal, Old Tom, Sophie, Tom and Grainne. Hello Tom, I knew you'd find this. ;o)

Dan, Jez and a hill in Shuili.

These are the two teachers I walked up the hill with. Dan - left, Jez - right

More children

Same CEI class, different angle. I miss this class! I now teach a new CEI01, starting with "Hello, how are you?". It's not the same.

Camping in the mountains

This is my last visit to the mountains, me and some other teachers (Dan and Jez) climbed a mini mountain owned by the family, surrounded by big mountains. It took around 15 mins in the heat to climb this.

Whaaa!

Scary close up Penny shot.

Teacher Martin

These are the children in what was my CEI16 class. 9-10 year old children that have been at Shane for some time, consequently their English is very good. A cool class, fun kids always eager to play games. Also in the picture is Emma, the class T.A.

Aftermath

This is what the first typhoon did to the trees and paddy field outside my bedroom. The thuderstorm which came with it was immense, my flatmate nearly killed himself running into it to unblock the drains. A bit of a mental night.

Big Buddha

This was taken in Changhua, reporedly the biggest Buddaha in the world. The pink is a recent addition.

And this is the temple which stands behind the Buddha.

Mountain

I've now uploaded the second of three rolls of film.
This photo I took in the mountains one evening, watching the sun set. It's about 15 min on scooter, and overlooks Yuanlin.
